Capture :- How to make patishapta pitha! khirsha recipe
Ingredients:
-1 cup of all-purpose flour
-1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom
-1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
-3 tablespoons of butter
-1/2 cup of sugar
-1/2 cup of water
-1/2 cup of grated coconut
For the Filing:
-1/4 cup of condensed milk
-2 tablespoons of melted butter
-1/4 cup of grated coconut
-1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom
-1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cardamom, and nutmeg.
3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
5. Gradually add the water, stirring until a dough forms.
6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to a 16-inch round.
7. Place the dough in the prepared pan and spread the grated coconut over the top.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
9. In a small bowl, mix together the condensed milk, melted butter, grated coconut, cardamom, and nutmeg.
10. Spread the mixture over the baked crust.
11. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
12. Let cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
