👉 How to Make Suji Halwa Recipe
1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil or ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat.
2. Add 1 cup of semolina (suji) to the pan and roast it for 4-5 minutes until it starts to turn golden brown.
3. Add in 3/4 cup of sugar and mix it well with the suji.
4. Slowly add 1.25 cups of water, stirring constantly so that no lumps are formed.
5. Add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, and crushed almonds for flavor and stir the mixture until everything is combined.
6. Cover the pan with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Let the suji halwa cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
7. Once all of the liquid has evaporated and the halwa has reached a soft mushy consistency, turn off the heat.
8. Garnish the suji halwa with chopped almonds and raisins, and serve hot or at room temperature. Enjoy!
